Snowy Owl: Series of Two Images

Ottawa, Ontario

Pickings have been slim lately; so in spite of the incredibly bad lighting, I was happy to see this fellow. Shooting up at a white bird into a white sky with freezing drizzle falling was definitely a challenge.

My but what a big mouth we have!! I think he was bored with another freakin' photographer.
Bottom image taken with Nikon D810 and Nikkor AF-S 40-400 f/4.5-5.6 VR @ 400mm; ISO 220; 1/1250 second; and f/7.1.
