In 1926, this car driven by John Godfrey Parry-Thomas, set a new land speed record of 171.02mph on Pendine Sands, in south Wales. Parry Thomas died when he crashed at over 100mph the following year. Now restored, Babs is now on display in its own museum at the top of the beach.
