I managed just a few shots of this male before it took off. Got a few more shots after it landed on a snow fence nearby (see http://www.pbase.com/image/158427800 ). It then flew across a field to a post far away. As I drove around looking for other owls, I spotted, what I think was, this same Owl perched on a rock very close to the road; however, as soon as I parked and reached for my camera, it took off again.
