Estany de Banyoles. Pesqueres

During the nineteenth century, some individuals, representatives of the local bourgeoisie, sought permission to erect a covered small houses or pavilions in the Estany. First they asked for angling, and later, to save the boat and bathing inside. The existing today were built from mid-nineteenth century until 1928. They have a walkway that joins the ring walk Estany and are scattered to the east and south shores. Each has an identification number and receive a more or less "popular" name.
Already in 1818, specifically the November 2, Banyoles City Council granted the owner and notary baņolense Miquel Ros Race to raise a "fishing" pavillion within walking distance of "Font d'Morgat". He loved to fish and keep the boat. Unfortunately, there is no record that it was built. A few many years later on October 2, 1862, the owner Manuel Cabanella asked permission for building a pesquera".

The whiteness of the Taj Mahal in the moonlight...just a bit smaller and cozier and serving a different purpose. Beautiful image with the water reflection. V
