the original (cable-stayed) bridge,
which spanned the Saône River in Lyon, France, featured
four lion sculptures. When the bridge was replaced, two of
these sculptures were installed at Gerland Stadium, Lyon,
one was sent to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The fourth
was relocated, to the Montreal Botanical Garden, in 1992.
