Every few years, these special owls come down from the far northern tundra. A special treat.
They often are juveniles, as this one is.

YAY!!! They're back!!! I think I may just have to take a trip up to Boundary Bay this Sunday and see if they're up there again, too. Nice capture, Terry! They are such beautiful birds! And, thanks for sharing. :)

some shots showing blood on its feathers above its claws. We are truly lucky to have one
show up in what is essentially our back yard.
