Pleasing Fungus Beetle (Megalodacne fasciata)

Liberty County, Florida

Found in Torreya State Park, Liberty County Florida, July 27, 2013. If you're a regular mushroom hunter, you've probably seen this colorful uncommon beetle. There are about 1,800 known species with only 51 found in the US. Out of that 51, eighteen species have been recorded in Florida.
