This is the tomb of Duchess d'Orleans, Helene Louise Mecklenburg-Schwerin. She was barred from burial beside her husband in the Chapelle Royale de Dreux. Instead she was put in a room with a separate entrance attached to the chapel. An opening was made between her tomb and her husband's and her effigy reaches through it toward that of the duke.
