Digiscoped from about a half mile away; at North Poudre Reservoir #3 in Wellington (Larimer County), Colorado. Very large, dark individual. Equal in size to Northern Mallards. Brown markings on body visible through telescope (ruling out American Black Duck), as well as yellow bill without black spot at base of mandible typical of Mottled Duck.
