The tree on the right is a 250 year old Monterey Cypress; the lone Cypress on the 17 Mile Drive in the Monterey Peninsula, California, near Carmel. It also forms the emblem of nearby Pebble Beach Golf Club. Unfortunately, on this occasion, horizon cloud prevented a more spectacular sunset. It took 4 hours of driving to get this shot!
