6 - 10 min. exposures with the SBIG STF-8300M.
Telescope configuration: Celestron EdgeHD 1400 with the Celestron 0.7x focal reducer (fl=2737, f/7.7), unbinned, yielding an image scale of 0.41 arc-seconds/pixel. Focused using an AstroZap Bahtinov focus mask.
Camera: SBIG STF-8300M (monochrome) CCD camera operating at -10C and an attached Baader 2" UV/IR filter. Image capture using TSXPro/Camera Add-on.
Mount: Software Bisque Paramount MX, with PEC and ProTrack enabled. Autoguided with an SBIG Sti autoguider, a Celestron OAG (off-axis guider) and a Starlight Xpress AO (Adaptive Optics) device using PHD2 autoguiding software.
Post processing: Calibration, alignment, stacking in ImagesPlus 5.0 using 3 dark frames, no bias frames and no flat frames; DDP and curves in Nebulosity3. One pass of unsharp mask in ThumbsPlus. Resized to 50% and trimmed to 1280x1024.
