Though Melvin Gordon's NCAA record breaking 408 rushing yards was the big story in the game, the Badger defense was a great sub story. After spotting the Huskers a 17-3 lead, the D made some adjustments and, other than a garbage time TD at the end of the already decided game, the Badgers basically shut out Nebraska the final three quarters.
