Of the emergency power generator. This is only a test
SPS Saturday. While I am not a prepper, I try to be prepared. Winter is here and I have yet to go thru winter in our new home. The same home that was affected last year when the natural gas was shut off due to a area wide issue with "pressure" or some other thing that caused hundreds of homes to go without heat for almost 24 hour. Mind you, it was minus 14 degrees....
I'll be warm with a few kerosene heaters that are ready to use as well as my generator I bought after Hurricane Sandy ripped thru here a two years ago, leaving some without power for 5 days. 5 Days, the Amish don't go without for that long- so I can't imagine that for my family. Regardless of the situation were covered in basics for a few days to figure it out before resorting to panic like 96% of the rest of the people do when the lights flicker.
Be prepared or be cold/hungry/wet/broke/out of gas...
