November 13, 2014

Today it is time for my periodic Global Warming rant. Our president made a greenhouse gas agreement with the Chinese that says we are going to do a lot of stuff while they do nothing. The Chinese are laughing. They know that they plan to do nothing because whatever the agreement is, it is totally unenforceable. Once again our president came off as a total fool just to please the green fringe in his political base.

Now I turn to the broader global warming debate. It started out as (1) global warming, then morphed to (2) man made global warming because the idiots who believe in it want to blame us for whatever they perceive to be going on. Then it became (3) man made global climate change when it was obvious that the perceived warming had stopped. Then it became (4)anthropogenic global climate change because anthropogenic is a bigger word and it makes the green weenies sound smart. When you keep changing the name of something, you know that it is bull$hit.

Now remember, these are the same idiots who made a bunch of prognostications at the very first Earth Day in 1970. I remember it well. I went down to the Boston Common where all the festivities were taking place looking for girls. This kind of crap draws them out of the woodwork like nothing else. I didn't get lucky, but we drank a bunch of beer and had a good time. Anyway, the following article is fun to read. Remember, these are the same mental giants who are behind all the current climate crap, only back then it was global cooling and other left wing nutcase propaganda. These are really a hoot.

So, remember that all this anthropogenic stuff is going to cause more frequent and more intense hurricanes. Just ask them, that is what they said. So I present to you the evidence that this year was an anthropogenic bust in the Caribbean and Atlantic. Only one hurricane came close to the United States. There were only 8 named storms. It was pretty quiet. Just ask your friends in Florida.

Now, if you want to amaze your anthropogenic-zealot friends, ask them what chaos theory has to do with the anthropogenic global climate change models. An early pioneer in the theory was Ed Lorenz at MIT. He was studying climate and weather models. Quoting the Wiki article on chaos theory: "Lorenz's discovery, which gave its name to Lorenz attractors, showed that even detailed atmospheric modelling cannot, in general, make precise long-term weather predictions." So basically, the famous hockey stick prediction was crap. You don't see that one any more.

So why are there all these idiots out there spewing forth this stuff? Simple, the bureaucrats want to control everything. Ask the Europeans how that bureaucracy stuff has worked out for them with the EU and the socialists in power over there. We are going to have the same problem over here, already do, as a matter of fact. Some day people will realize that some bureaucratic idiot who is no smarter than them is making decisions for them. And using a rule book that was written by big shot bureaucrats in Washington. This is scary stuff.

I could go on, but Ginny is getting home soon and I haven't sorted the laundry yet.

I heard his speech on the Keystone pipeline where he described it as a Canadian pipeline that would help Canada export gas without benefitting the US. No mention of the refinery to be built at its southern end which would employ Americans, first to build and then operate.

I don't understand how I missed out on it.

You make way-more-sense than Al Gore, and you didn't collect all those speech fees!

Spot on, John. Al Gore understands completely!

Magnificent speech.
You only missed one point, everytime we are threatened with the planet overheating, the price of of everything goes up. The government and their like have extorted billions of pounds from us consumers. this source of profit will run for many years. While so many people are making so much money, global warming, whatever will never go away.
