Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada

Mount Wilson
10,700'/ 3,261m

What an incredibly majestic mountain this is! And its totally viewable right from the shoulder of the Icefields Parkway, just about a mile or two north of the Highway 11 (aka David Thompson Highway) interchange. That interchange is also known as Saskatchewan Crossing.

I purposefully went up to Banff and Jasper National Parks in seek of fall color, and hit it spot on in this trip in terms of peak fall color. And, this one particular day yielded so many incredible photos I don't know if I'll ever top it again in the future or not. This was shot on the same day as the rainbow photos and the Mount Erasmus B&W photo, And, I still have many more to post all from this single day.

Wow, as a photographer who had put away his gear for almost a year it was such a joy to get back in the game again!

Excellent colors and clouds, especially the clouds touching one section of the mountain.
