Rainbow Over the Icefields Parkway

Driving south from Saskatchewan Crossing headed to Lake Louise I was in and out of rain showers the entire drive. One photo I already posted of the Mistaya River http://www.pbase.com/jimstiles/image/157451133) with a rainbow was an incredible sight, But after I drove away from that location and continued my journey I kept an eye in the rearview mirrors for more rainbows.

Suddenly, the skies parted a wee bit and a ray of sunlight passed through and this rainbow appeared behind me! OH NO... no place to pull over, and no good view of the rainbow! I came around a bend and up a hill and there was a pull out. I jumped out, raced to quickly setup and shot away. Cars were stopping all over the place to do the same thing, it was nutty and flat out dangerous for some of the other drivers. When it finally faded I was exuberant with what had just been shown to those of us lucky enough to see it!
