This used to be a tangle of buckthorn and a hideous brick border, along with a scraggly crabapple tree. Several years ago I had cleared out the buckthorn and dug up most of the old brick. Had Ecoscapes remove the tree and create this garden bed, adding some rocks. Later I planted some gray dogwood and some wildflowers that tolerate part shade.
