I really hate halloween. Yes, I am a hypocrite as I have a few halloween decorations in and around my home and adorning my front porch. But nothing to excess! Some folks love the holiday and it's cool. Really, enjoy yourselves. Spook away. Scare yourselves to death. Choke on hard candy and pick fake spider webs out of your shrubs for 4 months... Enjoy. Just don't expect me to be all festive in fake blood and strobe eyed zombies laying all over my lawn.

I guess I just am not a fan since it's so gaudy and in your face. Everything is blood, guts and candy and commercialized to the point of excess. Insane excess... It rivals Christmas now with the spending and insanity around it.


What I like, is the Mexican holiday of Dia de los Muertos. Thats a kick ass party holiday. Someday, I am headed to central Mexico to partake and party in a grave yard. Until then, I'll be sipping on this bottle of Jim Beam Ghost to push down my disdain for our Halloween insanity, instead playing trick or drunk!
