Flying home, we skirted the edge of a big Nor'easter that was offshore near Baltimore, Maryland.
This is sleet, high above the clouds.

Out the window shots on aircraft usually have an air of sameness to them but this one is really interesting; the sleet almost looks like it's feeding into (or about to be fed into) the jet intake. The silver surrounding that and the bands of coloured paint underneath break up the blues to form a very clean composition, almost as much a hyper-realist painting as a photograph.
