rutabaga harvest

O's in October Challenge #20

'Odd'

Rutabaga - aka 'Swede turnip' - one of my favorite veggies.
I grow them from seed every year.
Storing them in the basement for winter time eating!

I've never had a Rutabaga - must try it sometime when I'm feeling adventuresome...

Lots of vitamin C for the winter, a very healthy choice to have. A mix of mashed rutabagas, potatoes, onions, and carrots, seasoned with butter and salt, is a hearty, warming dish.!

What do you do with your rutabaga? We've never grown it before.
