After landing in El Paso, Texas we drove the rented mini-van for an hour and a half to White Sands National Monument in New Mexico.

This the largest Gypsum dune in the world.
The park can be closed during missile tests at the White Sands Missile Range.
And this is the location for the first atomic bomb test.
