A few Monarch Butterflies finally arrived in the garden today. It's late in the season for their migration. They are becoming an endangered species of life in the Washington Square area.
For the past couple of years their numbers have been alarmingly reduced. This habitat will be completely lost if the NYC/NYU plan to destroy it is executed.
