This castle dates back to the 13th century and was finally abandoned in the early 1600's.
It is perched precariously on the edge of the cliff, and reached by an equally precarious scramble.
I can't imagine how it was built or how many people must have died in the process. Some walls are literally rising from the edge of vertical cliffs.
Today, there really is not very much left apart from a few stumps of the old walls. But a great place to stop for a sandwich and some coffee.
My visit was met with a chorus of seals grunting and calling from the beach below.
