After yesterday's close encounter with fish tacos at La Michoacana during our culinary tour of Kennett Square, we decided that we should make those for dinner. So we headed to the store looking for some good fish. Well, a lot of fish is very expensive. A lot of the fish is imported. I decided long ago that anything imported from China was not to be bought. Also Egypt. We did find some very reasonable priced cod from Alaska. That sounded good. I always figure that cod is a great fish because it makes the best fish and chips.

So I went home and started cooking up a storm. I made some pico de gallo and some hot sauce to go with the tacos. When served up, it turned out great. Everybody chowed down. The peasants rejoiced and peace returned to the realm.

One more thing. About Stella Artois. When traveling in Europe, you see signs for Stella everywhere. When traveling in the US you see signs for Miller Light everywhere. Miller Light tastes like sh&t and Stella tastes great. I am drinking Stella more and more these days. Also shows you that Europeans have much better beer. Like Paulaner Octoberfest which we enjoyed last weekend. Really good beer without an overdose of hops which seems to be the rage now days in the US. They load up on hops then name it Pale Ale, India Pale Ale or some such thing. When we were in Halifax we went to the Alexander Keith brewery. He learned brewing in England or Scotland, I forgot. The beer he learned to brew was the original India Pale Ale. They still use the same recipe today for their IPA. This is good beer. Most people wouldn't recognize it for an IPA because it is not overrun with hops, only enough to get the beer to India. I liked that one a lot. So much for my beer soliloquy. The peasants are still rejoicing.
