This image was scanned from tri x film. I don't have the
data, but it must have been pushed based on the graininess.
This old building probably housed farm laborers and probably
did so for many years. The chimney may have been all rock at
at one time and need required the upper portion to be replaced,
with brick this time. The dead crow was placed in the pecan
tree to deter flock members, a practice once common. Unknown
if this tactic was effective. This house stands (stood?) on the
Turnwold Plantation estate, home for several years of author
Joel Chandler Harris of Brer Rabbit fame.
