7-4-2014 Save or Toss?

Best in Original Size

My first reaction to the 'unfortunate' shadow was "oh, darn." But now, a month or two later, I'm not so sure.
Part of me says the shadow is just part of the setting and adds to the reality of the shot.
The other part says the shadow is too distracting....
I would love to hear your candid opinions as to whether I should save it or toss it.

Would save. Gives a 3-d appearance I like.

Thanks for your input, Sally. I won't toss it. I'll post another waxwing shot just for you :)

I looked at the picture and because I
am not familiar with this waxwing, thought it a marking.
Don't toss it as its a good pic.

Thanks so much, Cindy. I'll keep it in my archives as is :). Glad to see you back - hope you had a good trip!

I sure wouldn't toss! It is a beautiful Waxwing, shadow or not. I wouldn't fix it, unless you plan to publish it. It does not bother me. It is natural.

Thanks, Hal. I can remove the shadow, but I was interested in other opinions regarding it.

Hi Terry, It is a little distracting but also demonstrates the they don't live in a picture perfect environment.
