Sugar Land, Texas

Misha ~ Plan B
20 month old Tortiseshell.
Misha has been at the shelter since January 10th. Over 9 months and half of her life.
I signed up to bring her home for a 5 day 'sleep-over'. She spent all day under the bed in our
guest room. This was the only time I saw her. She came halfway out and then ducked back under.

Ah, now I see your sweet Misha! She's still a youngster!
Adorable capture Lynn! :)

Yes, give her plenty of time. My four cats were strays and we had the same kind of situation female cats will take a little longer to warm up and she may be the shy type in any case as long as she's healthy you will be fine. V

Your patience will be rewarded when she finds her feet. Pretty little thing.
I'm struggling as to why some folk don't like Torties - my favourite colour-way.

That really is very caring, She will surely come out of her hiding place and take over the house very soon.

I hope she will come out of her shell soon. My cat hid for a few days when I brought him home. Now I live in "his house."

It's sad to know that all those animals are in a shelter. Hopefully a nice warm home will bring her out of her shelter. You're an Angel Lynn! V!

Guess she is still traumatized from the shelter. With your love she will be better.

Oh, poor girl! So glad you took her home and hopefully she'll settle in soon.

A good thing is worth waiting for - Raymond said it all what I'm thinking. Poor little thing did not have a real home for months. Have patience, I'm sure after some time she will be a fine family member...

Must be a shock for her after being in the shelter so long. She should be fine in a couple of days. Diego did the same thing when we first got him. He really looked afraid. After a few days we heard him racing around in the house and then knew he was ok. He now owns the house! :)

Well, new surroundings and humans can be pretty scary, but I imagine she'll be just fine after she settles in.

She will adjust. Pretty.

She is a pretty cat. Sure hope she adjusts and realizes she could have a great home!

Oh she is sweet. I agree with the others, she'll no doubt be fine. The world is a big place and after nearly a year in a cage (yikes!), she is overwhelmed. YOu and Finn will win her round I am sure. V

Yeah,I agree with Raymond...cute young lady anyway! V

That's because she feels lost, scared and not sure at all about what is happening. Let her be, some food and water and slowly, she'll come out and explore her new surroundings, see and ear Finn and little by little, she'll be fine. She's been in a cage for the past 9 months ... she'll be fine. Just place a litter box in her room for a little while. She is gorgeous.
