The experts had to wait overnight for Judy's masterpiece to be cool enough to work with. The next day, they filed off and ground off most of the rough edges. Then they heated the piece somewhat so that it would soak-up the Johnson's paste wax they brushed on it to keep it from rusting. By 2 o'clock in the afternoon, the end result was cool enough for Judy to bring home. It is an iron cast of a baby bear track, much like the many plaster casts of bear tracks that we have made over the years. It measures 5 inches square and is roughly an inch deep. It weighs 5 pounds!
