We had a really great day in Atlanta. In the morning we went to church with Robert, Laura and Peyton. It was at the church where they were married. We had a nice brunch at a restaurant (J. Christopher), then went to their house to hang out for a while and mess around with Peyton. Robert had to leave a little after noon to attend a cooking class, so we hit the road to have a visit with our friends Dabney and Tom.

We went through some of our photos from the Canada trip. That took a while. I am always concerned that people will get bored with the whole thing. It was sort of impromptu, so my photos didn't tell the story as well as it could have been told. We went out to dinner at a great Thai place in Atlanta. The food was really good. We all raved about our selections. The entrees were each presented in big metal compotes lined with melon rinds which took up about half of the table. It was interesting. Today's photo is of Ginny and Dabney. It has become a custom that we take such a photo each time we have the pleasure of getting together. I went back into my digital photo collection and found that we have been doing this for about 10 years or so.

So, we bid adieu and headed back to the hotel in Alpharetta (about 40 minute drive). When we got there Ginny discovered that she had lost her keys. We searched everywhere and had no luck. So she called Dabney to see if they had been left in their car when we went to dinner. No joy. Finally, Dabney, bless her heart, drove back to the restaurant and sure enough, she found the keys under the seat that Ginny had been sitting in. So we headed back to Dabney's house to pick them up. On the return trip to the hotel, we found that they had started the night time construction which funneled 4 lanes into 1. We spent 40 minutes crawling about 2 miles. We finally got back to the hotel at 11:00pm. So ended an eventful day. Ginny now has a lanyard for her keys kindly donated by Dabney and Tom.

You can't buy this type of entertainment.
