Named after Explorer Charles Sturt this plant is not actually a member of the pea family.
Charles Sturt was the one to discover that wherever he and his team camped in the Desert regions of Outback Australia.
the place where they urinated after a week or two would sprout one of these beautiful little plants.
Hence the name "Sturts Desert Pea" You don't believe me?
You have probably known an Aussie then! :-)
