Steve - Yup, that is true. But the Harvest Moon tends to be orange regardless of nearby fires - caused by what they call a "low hung" moon this time of year, and the clouds and dust give it the orange color. But can definitely heightened though by wildfire smoke, I'm sure.

Sometimes the wildfires we have do something good! The smoke in the skies from Yosemite and up north are giving us such great colors at sunset.
