It is believed that George Lucas, who visited La Pedrera before directing the Saga Star Wars, was inspired by the chimneys to created the Imperial Soldiers and Darth Vader and another theory says that the Sculptor Subirachs was inspired by these chimneys when creating the soldiers in the Passion Façade of the temple of La Sagrada Familia.
