Spectators watch morning U.S. Open tennis action in Louis Armstrong Stadium at the Billie Jean King
USTA National Tennis Center in Queens, New York City. Armstrong stadium was center court and the
main stadium at the tennis center before Arthur Ashe Stadium opened in 1997. It was named for jazz great
Louis Armstrong, who lived nearby. Additional images from New York City are in my Cities gallery.
