Moeraki Boulders.

Moeraki, North Otago.

Local Māori legends explained the boulders as the remains of eel baskets or calabashes, washed ashore from the wreck of Arai-te-uru, a large sailing canoe.

Another old image reworked in Lightroom5.5 & Nik Viveza.

The legend makes sense. They remind me of cracked eggshells. Amazing formations and wonderful capture. V.
