Lake Eildon National Park is in the northern foothills of Victoria's Central Highlands, 150 km north-east of Melbourne.
Situated on the shores of Lake Eildon, the park protects 27,750 ha of rugged hills with open woodlands through to dense forest.
With a shoreline of 515 kilometres and a capacity of 2,290,000 megalitres, Lake Eildon holds up to six times the amount of water of Sydney Harbour.
With many picturesque and tranquil inlets to explore, Lake Eildon has long been a favourite for houseboat holidays, with plenty of houseboats available for hire.
