Venus and Jupiter

Venus (left) and Jupiter glow in the early dawn as they rise above Milwaukee's McKinley Marina on Monday morning, August 18 at about 5:15 am Central Daylight Savings time. Although hundreds of millions of miles separated the planets, they appeared to be nearly in line, separated by less than the width of the moon.
The two second exposure was taken with a Nikon D700 and a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens set at 70mm, F/8 and ISO 800.
