My guess was correct although at the time I really had no idea. Through process of elimination, it looked the most like the Stink Pot. I have had other sources confirm it is indeed an Eastern Musk Turtle or as it is also known, the Stink Pot turtle.

It is so named due to the glands that emit a foul odour when threatened. This species is rarely seen out of the water as it dries out faster than other turtle species so this was good timing on my part.
