We are living in suburban Houston, Texas,
where the Hurricane season in the Atlantic
that begins June 1st and ends November 30th each year
always a direct threat.
Such a threat prompts us to be prepared
with
Stock-Up Checklist For Your Hurricane Survival Kit:
* Bottled water (3 gal per person/ per day)
* Water purification tablets
* Non-perishable foods (peanut butter, crackers, nuts, raisins & dried fruits, snacks, cookies, etc.)
* Shelf-packaged juices (cans or cartons)
* Canned, prepared meats
* Canned, prepared foods
* Powdered or canned evaporated milk
* Special dietary needs
* Toilet paper & moist towelettes
* Sponges & paper towels
* Soap, shampoo, other misc.
* Toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant)
* Flashlight + extra batteries
* Lantern + extra batteries
I don’t see the above items,
but in my parent’s bedroom,
there are a lot of baby diapers, wet wipes, baby food/formula.
Perhaps my parent forgot that we are in the middle of Hurricane season.
