Tomorrow's Breakfast

It's years since I've had real field mushrooms as opposed to flat caps bought in a supermarket.
I was delighted to find two when I was out for my walk this evening.
I carefully carried them home and am now debating whether to fry them in butter or to simmer them in milk for tomorrow's breakfast.

Very well photographed with this detail and smooth bokeh. Nothing beats wild mushrooms. "V"

I wouldn't trust myself on the ID of a wild mushroom either.

What a great find. They make wonderful picture material even before you eat them!

I can just imagine the breakfast! You are very clever to know what sort of mushroom to eat and which not to eat. Very nice photo too. v

I most striking capture and perspective on the mushroom. I'm with Steph: I wouldn't know a safe from poisonous one. V.
