I used two EF 12 extension tubes instead of the EF 2X. I was able to focus at about 2 feet, maybe a little less.
The difference between this and the one I put up a few days ago is significant. This is what I have been trying to achieve.
I had tried one tube before but it took the second one to get the true macro effect. Shallow DoF but really sharp.
