Cyrtostachys renda,
also known as lipstick palm and red sealing wax palm,
rajah palm and red palm is endemic to the Malay Peninsula.

It was listed as “Vulnerable” on the IUCN
(International Union for the Conservation of Nature) Red List
in 1995 and removed from the list of protected species in 2000.
