This is the most popular smart phone application in Israel at the time of writing (July 30, 2014). Its purpose is to alert the user when the local sirens sounded off as a result of a rocket alarm. RedAlert lists the regions where the sirens sounded off, followed by the names of the towns/settlements targeted by the missiles.
In this screen the areas targeted by Palestinian missiles are:
Dan (wider Tel Aviv area) - Azor, Bat Yam, Holon, Mikve Israel
Ashkelon - Ashkelon, Be'er Ganim
Ashkelon - industrial area
Beersheba - Beersheba , Mas'udein el-Azazme (a Bedouin settlement in the Negev)
Negev - a long list of settlements, including the Nizzana Youth Village
The rockets triggering the sirens are courtesy of Hamas & Associates, who have been able to establish a large arsenal of missiles, grenades, and other deadly weapons to threaten, and kill, Israeli citizens - indiscriminately.
Depending on the distance from Gaza, the Israeli population has between 10 to 45 seconds to move into shelters, before the missiles hits. A resident of Ashkelon (listed twice above), a town close to Gaza and frequently targeted by Palestinian rocket fire, has 10 seconds to reach a shelter.
