Almost A Monarch

I just about tripped over myself in my yard this afternoon when this guy flew in. I thought at first a Monarch Butterfly had finally showed up after a two year absence ( I have not seen one since 2012). I realized early on that it was in fact a Viceroy Butterfly...a touch smaller with a few distinctive differences to the monarch. Im still hoping what with 15-20 milkweed plants in the garden these past years to help the monarch's in their reproductive cycle that a few show up. The milkweed as of this past May is no longer considered to be a noxious weed in Ontario in an effort to help the Monarch Butterfly in its fight to survive.
