Nature Reserve "Wyspy Zawadowskie" (Zawadowskie Islands) - fauna nature reserve created in 1998, is located on the southern edge of Warsaw (in Wawer and Wilanów districts), in the municipality of Konstancin Jeziorna and the in the city Jozefow in the Mazowieckie voivodship. It occupies an area of 530.28 hectares. Includes islands, shoals and sandbanks and water flowing river.
The purpose of the establishment of the reserve was to protect aquatic ecosystems in the bed of the middle Vistula river of a natural or semi-natural character. It is a place where nesting and foraging rare birds and refuge for animals associated with the aquatic environment.
In addition, the area is famous for its beautiful landscapes. Reserve is a part of national ecological network ECONET-POLAND.
