This bird was photographed between the 1st and 2nd crosovers on the bay side about 2 hours before High Tide. Note that it has a gray band on the lower right leg as well as the engraved green flag on the upper right.

5/28/2014 - Cooks Beach - South, NJ USA

If it had come through Duxbury Beach on those dates it would have been in the last 1/4 or so of the spring migrants, and so I find it ingtriguing that it is among the early returnees on July 23. Somehow I thought the late-ish spring migrants would be among the late-ish fall migrants; apparently not so!
