The Western Tanagers were a little later arriving this year but they are quite a few coming to the yard now.
They don't seem to eat any of my offerings but they love the water. I have just seconds for a photo like this before he gets all messed up bathing.
When they first came this year, I was disappointed in their scraggly appearance but they have improved greatly.
Usually it works the other way, they show up pretty and then start to fade.
