CR2_1654 Weekly Challeges - Ended

Farewell to four years of the Weekly Challenges...
Like this little bird, it's time to fly
.

This young bird did not move when I passed it on the way to the garden.
I thought maybe he was sick or was injured.
I had time to go and get my camera to take a picture of it.

and then still it did not fly away when I got within inches of it.
And then I went to get another camera and still it was sitting.

After about 10 minutes, I asked my son to maybe remove it from it's post and put it for safety from the cats roaming around.
He would not touch it.
Finally he did go close, gave the bird a little touch, when it flew away to the garden and then to the fields.

I'm betting this is a newly fledged robin. If so, it takes a newly fledged bird a bit of time to get their act together. Hopefully the parents found it and are still caring for it.
Beautiful captures Sue Anne! BV

Sweet little thing, I hope he's okay. Sometimes the young ones have no fear of us.
