Ralph Petterson ,(standing L, then 18), with his crew. He was a Ball Turret Gunner and flew 33 missions during World War II.
All the crew members made it back throughout all the missions, live and well.
Ralph credits the successful survivability of the missions to the excellent jobs of the navigator, who diverted many times the plane from the enemy anti-aircraft fire,
and the pilot excellent skills. All the crew members kept in touch for many years. one or two, I believe, are still alive.
