In this image you can see Mt. Hood peeking above the eastern ridge of Mt. Defiance, the highest mountain in the Columbia Gorge at 5,000 feet. The peak of Mt. Defiance is just to the right of Mt. Hood. I used to climb Mt. Defiance every year in my glory years of hiking.
