Built in 1584 by Andrés de Arenas, over a former church from S. XIII, this first church was consecrated in 1627 and attended his consecration the Bishop of Elvas , Fray Sebastián Mathos in 1628.Of classical style , the interior collected late Renaissance , where the temple three naves divided into four sections, covered with vaults , which are supported by beautiful Ionic columns , responding to this type of construction hall church model . Its main altar is Baroque , standing at the bottom and sides like a beautiful tile style. The chapel on the Gospel side has a spectacular tree allegory of the Virgin , which include some large polychrome figures
